Suppose you use LA on a 9, 12, and 2 schedule with DMSA and then use another
dose of DMSA before bedtime? If DMSA doesn't cross the BBB then could
anything the LA released be picked up by a later DMSA dose? Could this
be done for two or three consecutive days without adding increased risk of
re-uptake?

I don't understand "9, 12 and 2." Every 3 hours is something like 7 AM, 10
AM, 1 PM, 4 PM, 7 PM and 10 PM. For a dosing schedule with a DMSA only
bedtime dose this becomes:

7 AM DMSA + LA
10 AM DMSA + LA
1 PM DMSA + LA
4 PM DMSA + LA
7 PM DMSA + LA
10 PM DMSA only

You do not want to chelate on the next couple of days after that if you stop
at bedtime.

Chelating in the day, skipping the night, chelating the next day, etc.
will make your kid really really really sick. Once you stop, you have to
stop for several days. Any break of more than 3 or 4 hours between doses
counts as stopping.
