This schedule sounds a lot easier to do than the around-the-clock stuff I've
heard you talking about. What do you guys think of this 3 times a day
thing? Would it be dangerous to the body, since you aren't giving the
chelation
agent the whole 24 hours?

If he does have a mercury problem it risks redistributing mercury into his
brain (which DMSA doesn't take it out of anyway). If he only has lead this
is probably OK.

I understand that you need to keep your life simple enough that you can
actually do all the stuff your kid needs, but this "DMSA is OK every 8
hours" stuff just isn't so for mercury.

Like I've said before, if you can't possibly stand to get up at night to
give it, then do it for a day from getting up to bedtime, then skip 2 or 3
days and repeat. This is safer than every 8 hours, but several days in a
row every 4 hours is safest.

As we have discussed before on list, many children will NOT have an adverse
reaction to doing DMSA every 8 hours - it is more a question of what chances y
ou are willing to take and how quickly you think you will catch the
beginnnings of a problem.
