I'm not using DMSA, but making sure to give antioxidants in low doses 4xday and selenium 2x day, day b4,during and day after ala. working well for my 3y/o.
If dmsa can help rid the body burden before using ala, then I don't see the harm in using dmsa alone after the 72 hours of ala to minimise any redistribution, but would keep it at the 2 doses as andy states.

I just read on Mothering.com that if you do at least another day of DMSA alone (after you have done the 72 hours of DMSA/ALA) it helps with the redistribution of metals in the organs. Also it lessens side effects between rounds.
Is this true?
