A lot of people do exactly this because SAMe is also an antidepressant. And
a LOT more take other things (TMG, B-12 and folate) to increase their
natural levels of SAMe. These things don't seem to interact.

I will add a cautionary note, though. People who have the biochemical
problems that express themselves as "psychosis spectrum disorders" in adults
get much worse on SAMe and other methylating things. Since these disorders
are extremely rare in children it is worth being concerned that the
biochemical defect where excess methyl is harmful expresses itself in some
different unknown way before puberty and that some children might not
tolerate these things well.

Again, there seems to be no interaction between this and using DMSA or LA.

PS if anyone has had children who responded poorly to SAMe or TMG/B12?folate
I would like to hear the details privately if you are wiling to share them.
