So, after doing all of this, how do you know if any of it has actually
worked? And how do you know if there is mercury remaining, or how often
to repeat?

It isn't real obvious exactly when you are done, but if you don't see
noticeable behavioral and intellectual improvements after a dozen lipoic acid
chelation cycles then it clearly isn't working. You usually see things
changing after a few.

Most likely you get to do 30-100 LA chelation cycles to really get all the
mercury cleared out. When nothing is happening and the kid doesn't feel any
different when taking LA as when not taking it, you are done. The only way
to really be SURE you are done is to wait a couple of months after you think
you are done and try it another time or two.

A typical way to do the chelation would be to chelate for 2 or 3 days a week
and skip the rest. If she is having a hard time with the chelation, reduce
the dose or wait longer between chelation series.
