1. Have them give you air or oxygen to breathe through a nosepiece.
This will help.

2. While it is true that you will inevitably have some mercury get
into you, and inevitably some of that will make it into your baby
through your breast milk, generally what I am seeing in poring over
the results from lots of people is that the breast fed children do so
much better than the bottle fed ones that it is probably worth
continuing to breast feed since this is likely to outweigh the effects
of the mercury.

3. Also immediately change clothes and shower on returning home,
before handling your child.

Hi there,
I have found a dentist that removes amalgams and
replaces them here in Phx. They haven't used amaglam
for 2 years in their office. He said he would do it as
safely as possible but there will be some mercury
vapors breathed in. They use a high suction and a
rubber dam. I am concerned not as much for myself but
I am breastfeeding an 11 month old that I haven't
vaccinated. I don't want to risk him getting those
vapors. I have to get the amalgam removed because I
have a cavity that needs to be filled under/around it.
I am definetly not getting amalgam replaced.. am I
endangering my son? Is there a breathing thing I can
use to limit the amount of mercury I breathe in?
Thank you like always.
Andrea
